PFLAG Academy Online: February Trainings!
It's a new year, and that means it's time to ramp up your skills with PFLAG National!
In 2009, there were 1,569,572 tax-exempt charities and groups functioning in the United States. Without exception, all of them participated in fundraising efforts to support the work that they do.On the one hand, this reinforces the idea that Americans are highly engaged in work to shape their communities. On the other hand, this number is a scary reality for many – like PFLAG chapter members – who are trying to be effective in motivating people to contribute to the work that they are doing to advance equality for LGBT people. But this big number doesn't have to be scary.
The February 2012 PFLAG Academy Online webinar will help you see this statistic as an opportunity to break through some of the barriers and challenges to effective fundraising and develop a strategy for success. This session will provide you with an understanding of why creating a fundraising plan is part of your chapter's work, examine and help overcome some of the personal barriers you may have to asking for money, tell you more about accessible sources for fundraising, offer critical steps to creating your own chapter fundraising plan, and give suggestions on where you can learn more about this chapter function.
Join us for one of our two February sessions to learn how to get the resources you need to help in your local efforts to move equality forward in your community.
The sessions are free. To attend, you've got to register!
